Hi everyone...I drive a 54 3100 truck, and recently purchased the factory turn signal housing and insides to try to update my truck to "factory" turn signals....my question is, is there some sort of "trip" device that mounts onto the underside of the steering wheel that cancels the arm when the turn is completed? Or were these devices just link the add-on, generic ones where you have to turn the on and off yourself?

Thanks for any input....

There is a cancelling cam that as you mentioned screws to the back of the steering wheel. I am in the middle of the same update.

Most all of the majors. I think I got mine from Chevy Duty. It looks like a big washer with a tab that resets switch and an odd shaped hole in the center. Chevy Duty item number Part # 53-585

Hi everyone...o.k., got the unit installed just fine...now, any insight into how to hook up the wires...I had an add-on unit before so all my old wires are all ready there...need insight such as on the original unit...the blue wire goes to the right front lamp, the pink wire goes to the left rear lamp, etc....I am not concerned about the "factory" diagram, as I will splice in to what I have already..just need some help in which wire goes with what bulb....thanks much!!
