I would like to restore the rear window shade for the 33. One mounting end just slips off. The other does not. Does that end come off or will I destroy it by trying? Thank you, Joe

If it is like a normal window shade roller, one end would be secured as it holds the spring.

I've been working with Camaros for years & they didn't have this feature. I guess you're saying it don't come apart without breaking something? Thanks, Joe

No what he ( antique mechanic ) is saying is that one end of the roller assembly is fixed into a slot and the other is free. Mount it on a 2 x4 and see if the mechanism catches and then releases when pulled again , like its supposed to. mike lynch
