What was the last year and which model/models had the wood shelf over the spare?

The 1937 was the last year for a wood shelf over the spare for sedans.
The coupes had a woood shelf up through mid 1947. The late 1947 and 1948 club coupes had just a round board the sat on top of and clipped to the spare wheel.
42-47 convertible also had a small shelf over the spare.

To add to Gene's response, the 48 convertibles also had the round board that clipped to the spare tire.

My 47 has the round board. There is no bracket for the shelf.

The change was made in mid 1947 for the coupe and convertible.
