I am restoring a 37 Two Door Master Town Car. Not wanting to put two questions in the same post, I am now asking about the belt line stripes. I have seen photos of the 37 with no stripes on the belt line below the windows, one stripe on the top rib around the car and a couple of photos with stripes on both ribs. Also I see a stripe on the front of the hood somewhat vertical embosses at the front end of the double ribs. I see the stripe at the front of the three embosses. Can someone tell me what is the correct configuration?

Thanks again for the input.

The front pages of the CoF's catalog lists cars and there different paint schemes based on the style # embossed on the I.D. plate. It does not get into specifics, only colors.

Do a 1937 Chevrolet search on google or any other search engine and you'll get a multitude of pics.

There is also a way to get info from the Chevrolet library at the AACA site. I think there is a link from our site to theirs.

My car, based on the style #, should have a Toipio (??) white belt line stripe and white stripes on the wheels. A previous owner changed it to a red stripe, which I like because it's suttle.

One stripe on top body belt, 3 slash marks on hood for Fisher Coach & town sedan. Holden has 2 stripes on single body belt. You don't have a Martin - Parry body.
I only have original striping charts for single unit Martin-Parry.
If your paint number is #218 (Aluminum Fisher body plate on right cowl under hood) there are no stripes, just painted body belt.
For wheel stripes and much more detail see web page:

Good luck, Lou

We have many discussions related to stripes, if you use the Search function and enter the following, you'll be reading for awhile. Some posts are old and pictures don't work now...have fun:
