I'm finishing the sanding and priming on a 1940 Special Deluxe sedan. I noticed that just forward of the front doors, between the front edge of the doors and the hood/front fender there is a slight "crease" in the sheet metal, perhaps 10" long and maybe 1/8" deep, running running vertical in the area between where the the hinges attach. This is in the area where you typically see a "side cowl" mount antenna, so you get the idea where it is, or approximately 2-3" forward of the front edge of the front door. It appears on both the driver's and passenger's sides, and is virtually identical on each side. Question: Is this slight indent or crease the result of the doors opening way too far at some time, where they struck the side of the cowl and caused the side of the cowl to slightly buckle in, or is it "factory"?. Anyone else with a 1940 ever see these? Thank you.

That is from the front door check links being inoperative and the door openiing to far.

I need the CORD (group no. 11.898) mounted on the back of the front seat on a four-door sedan, original serviceable condition. Tan color, 21 3/8" overall length.
