The owners manual states that on closed body types, the plate is located on the right front sill. Does this mean on the rocker panel sill cover, drivers side? In the center of the sill cover? Thanks, Carlyle

The "Car No." plate was nailed to the main sill near the right foot of a passenger. The battery metal cover is also near that area.

It will be under the floor mat nailed to the wood-sill I believe. If you were sitting in the passengers seat with your right foot pressed against the door when closed your foot would be over the tag. If not there then it has been removed.

Since the car serial number plate was attached to the wood main sill with small nails, it is not uncommon for the car serial number plate to be missing.
