I am installing a 235 C.I. Chevy engine in my 50 Chevy Wagon,as I didn't remove the original engine I am having a problem finding where the clutch spring attaches to the adjusting arm(I am using the original bell housing, motor mounts and transmission. I think I have the front of this spring in the correct location on the inside of the frame using a small wire link(I believe this was used to hold the spring away from the frame. My problem is that I can't attach the rear of the spring to the adjusting arm because the side rear motor mounts(the ones that attach to the front of the bell housing to eliminate the engine from twisting)are in the way. I ordered a new spring from Chevy of the 40 and it is a regular spring with a hook on one end but just has a long straight wire on the other end. Any and all help is greatly appreciated as usual. Thanks, All
