Any suggestion on how to remove paint from factory wires? Pervious owner sprayed flat black paint on most of the ignition wires. I would like to remove the paint and see the original wrapped wires, if possible. Thank you.

If you are refering to the spark plug wires the originals were cloth covered and coated with gloss black lacquer.

Update to original post: I'm trying to remove paint from wires that run from the firewall to the core support. I need a remover that will not destroy the factory cloth wires. Thanks

In a PM I suggested he test with either laquer thinner or conventional brake fluid - which is a good paint remover but will not harm or dry-out rubber.
