Is the driven gear for a 32 Special speedometer a one year application or will another work? I have a broken tooth on mine and it's got 14 teeth so I assume it's 5-14. Does the gear come off or would I have to have the gear and shaft assy? Thanks for any help. If someone hads one I'm in the market.

The gear and shaft are one piece.

Thanks Steve. I thought so as mine looks like it has weld drops in several areas, wanted to be sure.

The ones I have seen are machined from one piece. If it has weld perhaps someone tried to do a repair.

If you are looking for a driven speedo gear for your '32, I have your part.
"The MPPL shows Speedometer Drive (5-14 teeth) part # 363716 for a 1932 BA 3-speed synchro-mesh transmission."
Check out my post #103738 from July 7, 2007 in the '1929-32' Forum.
The drive gear and driven gear parts I have are reproduction parts I had fabricated. You should consider replacing them as a set. Put 9,500 miles on the set in my '32.
