Have you tried National Chevy Association or the Filling Station. They are on the web.

For the door repair panels, The Filling Station doesn't have that year listed in their catalog.

What about the ribbed aluminum peices on a 53 Belair that go on the rear door (4dr) and rear quarter panel under the stainless trim and Belair script- some are just painted white and some like mine have the aluminum strip?

The Bel Air 4 door has a ribbed stainless trim on the upper quarter panel just behind the rear door window.

The insert between the mouldings-just above the fender skirt - is painted a contrasting color or matches the top color on 2 toned cars.At the very front of the insert, above the large stainless stone shield there is a small 2 1/2" wide ribbed stainless piece on a Bel Air---its about 4 inches long. The psinted area is from there back.A 1953 had no aluminum trim and the Bel Air emblem is mounted in a painted area.

Sounds as if some one may have cut down an aluminum quarter insert from a 1957 BelAir and stuck it on a 1953.
