My family and I are considering buying my Brother (Now in IRAQ) his dream car. A 1954 Chevy Belair. There is one catch though. We would like the car to be producde in February of that model year. I've been doing some research and cannot find where the month is disclosed anywhere. Can any one help? Our goal is to purchase a 54 Belair made in February of 1954. How can I confirm the production month once I find one?
I wilol send Pictures of my Brother and his car once we get it accolpished.
Tyhank you very much,

You can find some of the info you're looking for here:

1954 Chevrolet Passenger Car Specifications

I don't see where you can locate the "Month Made" other than on the transmission and the rear axle.

Good Luck with your quest.

MSK,

Chevrolet stopped putting the month of production on the serial number tag after the 1952 model year. Although you could look for a '54 car with a low serial number which would indicate it is from early in the production year.

As indicated in the previous posting, you MIGHT be able to tell from trans, rear, or engine block casting numbers. But on a 50 year old car, any of these parts could have been changed.

Wouldn't it be simpler to find other "February 1954" items to go with the car (ie calendar, magazines, movie memorabilia, family pictures...)? Just a thought...

Good luck with your search.
