Hello,
I'm helping my brother with his 39 Master Deluxe. He is swapping out the original 39 rear-end with a Ford 8.8. This diff has an offset. Will the side offset angle of the driveline cause problems?

Also, to figure how get the correct up and down angle on the driveline, would it be best to install the 8.8 in the car without the perches welded on, only set in place, set the pinion angle, tack the perches in place, then remove for final welding?

Would the car need to be on sitting on the ground to get the correct pinion angle? It seems that it would, but how to get under the car to set the angle?

Thanks in advance!
