Watching the B-J auction on Sunday they had a collection of newer Corvettes. They said several times these were from the Chevrolet Heritage Collection. Has anyone heard of this collection ? Is it the same as the GM Heritage Collection ?

I'm thinking the B.J. announcer guys may have been speaking of the Chevrolet collection WITHIN the GM Heritage collection.

I thought that also, until the Chevrolet guy on the stage said the Chevrolet Heritage Collection.

He was referring to the GM Heritage Center that resides in Sterling Heights, Michigan. These Corvettes were used for promotional purposes and therefore carried no real historical significance to Chevrolet or GM.

The GM Heritage Center houses significant and concept vehicles from Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac, Olds and Buick. Many in the VCCA visited it in 2011 at the VCCA 50th Anniversary Meet in Flint, Michigan.

It's a place worth visiting, but as I recall, an organized "group" of 25 or so needed to go through at one time.

We made field trips with our shop techs, that was one of the field trips.

Thank David for the info. I was there in 2011. Great place !! Many historically significant cars from the GM Brand. That magnificent Olds Limited, The Buick Y Job, Those Motor-rama cars of the 50's, Mako Shark, V8 Chummy Roadster, and many more.
