I do not know if this is the right place to ask this, but has anyone out there had any luck finding 50 to 52 Chevy parts at the Pomona Swap meet? chevy

I don't know about Pomona but several years ago I saw a good variety at Turlock? (spelling?)

Pomona is one of those places that you never know what's going to show up. The Dec 4/5 show
is one of the biggest ones they have...possibly people selling for Christmas. There is a guy who has driven from upstate NY the last 2 years just to go to that show. This will be his 3rd year.
If you've never been, you can get in on saturday at least through the Arrow Hwy gate. You'll have to walk, but you'll get there when the vendors are setting up. Sometimes sunday is too late.
good luck, joe

Be sure to wear tennis shoes, as you can walk up to 10 miles, up and down venders. Also, if you are going to buy several, steal a little red wagon from the neighbors kid for the day, it will save you a lot of time and heartache. I have been going to Pomona, since 1962 and you never know what will show up there, however 49 to 52's are very popular in the LA area so you should have luck. Check the weather report before you go!
and wear layers that can be peeled off and put in the wagon. Temps can change from 30 to 80 and there is no.........no shade anywhere. Good Luck

Thanks again for the information from pass and personal experience. The weather forecast is for rain, so it might be a washout.

Presuming you went, I'd be curious to know what you found/how you did at Pomona. I'm from way up in Portland, OR and have been to Pomona 5-6 times. I love the whole deal there. The lay out of cars on one side and parts on the other side is one of the best parts. And, I've found lots of 'odd' (older) stuff like a 54 Chev Power Steering horn button and a 41 Cad coupe spare tire 'hold down bracket.' I'd say both of these items are pretty darn rare. Anyway, how was it?? Bill.

Well my friend I did not go because of the weather. It rained and the few shops I called that had planned to go, said that if they predicted rain on Saturday, they would not set-up there tables. So I cannot tell you what it was like. I plan on the attending the next one on January 16. ok

Pomona was rather small. I'ld say 60%...maybe. Saturday we looked around & i found a couple of 34 master items & a front assy bumper for a 56.
Sunday about midnight it was raining. We slept in till 5:30 & then went. It was cold & damp. The over fill area which is usally filled in December had 2 vendors. At 10:30 it started to drizzle. We left & went back to Tucson. Oh well....maybe next time....joe
