The front fenders on my '25 Chevy are really trashed. I'm looking to find fenders for it and was wondering if the same fenders were used in other years to perhaps widen my search.

Hi Rich, The 1925 Chevrolet and 1926 are basically the same. The major difference is the headlights on the early 1925 cars bolted directly into the fenders. The late 1925 and 1926 mounted on a bar that was bolted into the fenders. Unlike rear fenders, the front fenders are all the same regardless of body style. It would not be difficult to work with the headlight/mounting bar holes to suit your vehicle. Some trucks had the same fenders, and I know they used them at times even into the next year, but I am sure there are others out here more versed on the trucks than I am. These fenders are very hard to find in good condition. Depending just how bad your current ones are, you may have to rework them and make do. The 1924 look very similar but I believe they are shorter. Once again, someone else is likely able to confirm that. Just be sure you know what you are getting if the opportunity arises to buy...........Joe..........

Thanks, Joe I"ll keep searching. I'll probably try at some point to rework them if I can't find better ones.

Hi Rich, Apart from the headlight tie-bar holes, there is another difference. There is a difference at the front of the flat part that rests on the top of the frame rail. K's ('25) have a pressing that enables the fender to clear the rivets that hold the cast front crossmember. V's have a different crossmember.

1 ton truck mudguards had a different length skirt that sloped down from the mudguard to where it sat on top of the chassis rail.

Thanks, Al. So it appears that I'm stuck with the fenders I have for now. I found someone local that might be able to pound out the dents. We'll see how they come out.

I would leave them as they are.

Hi Rich, It is not impossible to change V fenders to K specs, if you ever found a set.
