Hi.
I wish to use the original set up / wire from the ignition key to the coil on my 34 Master.
Then I will need a "special" coil with connections on both sides (most coils have connections only on one side).
Where can I get a 6-volt coil like this?
Is it possible to buy them new (or is ebay the best place...)?
A few pictures I fond here on the forum (not my pictures):

Thanks!

Delco made a universal coil with an adapter to fit the Eletrolock cable. Sometimes they come-up on Ebay.

The ignition coil for the 1934 electrolock is hard to come by. I would keep checking eBay on a fairly regular basis. Also, when found the original 1934 coils tend to be very expensive.

The production line correct coils are extremely hard to find in working condition & there is a company that can rebuild coils but they can't do those. Like Skip says, the coils do come up one e-bay. They are mostly replacement type...Joe

OK. Thanks for your answers and information!
I am OK with a replacement type coil, as long as it will fit the original "steel cable" from the ignition key.
If anyone has a working coil like this they do not need, let me know.

To all members who have voiced an interest in my 34 master coil, let me add the following.
I purchased the coil in Hershey some years ago to put it on my 34 Master coupe which did not have an original coil or original ignition switch and cable. The vendor stated that this coil fit my 34 Master. It also matched the picture of the correct coil in the era delco remy parts catalog. I did not install the coil in the car because I still had to find correct ignition switc and cable. Well I decided to change to 12 volt system and never used the coil. The problem is that it doesn't match the coil pictured in the previous post. The pictures do not show the end of the coil where the ignition cable attaches. If someone out there can post a picture or two of both ends of the coil we can make sure that my coil is the one that is sought.

I have a 35 Standard Coach I am restoring. I have an electrolock coil that I got in a box of stuff. Is there a test to see if it is good? My car isn't together so I can't just try it. I would be interested in yours if mine fails the test.

You can test the electrolock with an ohm meter.
