The low beam headlights on my 1950 Chevy are not working. The parking lights and high beams work fine. I guess the problem is either the wiring or the connection for the low beam. However it may be in the switch itself. Before I crawl under the dash is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Thanks

The problem could also be your dimmer switch.

Yes, I would begin with the dimmmer switch and a test light.

Over the years it was not uncommaon for a car to come in with both low beams burned out. Don't over look the easy stuff.

Dimmer switches can get dirt on the contacts as they're mounted on the floor. Mine sometimes does not switch to high/low beams unless I stomp it a few times. Always check the easy stuff first. The chance of BOTH headlamps burning out simultaneously is pretty slim.

I am not saying they burned out at the same time but many people do not always notice when the first one goes out but when the last one goes you will know it.
