How would one tell the difference between 34 Master and 34 Standard front fenders?

Thank You

The easiest way I know is to look on the side of the skirt for holes. 1934 Master has a molding that runs both front & rear fender & running board. There are some huge differences in the size but that is a quick check...Joe

Thank you for the information. Here are some pics. I don't see any holes for the moldings.

the bead on the fender for a 34 master is around 1" wide, the bead for a 34-35 standard is around 3/4 or less.

Like Joe says , look for the slots/holes in the skirt area of the fender at side bottom, that's where the stainless trim piece would attach.

master fenders are also longer 4" ??

fender looks like standard to me

If the 34/35 standard fenders don't work for you, I'd be interested in purchasing.
Thanks, Roger Z.

Roger has a 1935 Sedan Delivery & I've been watching for usable fenders for him for a long time. It's also been a long time since I've seen anything worth telling him about.....Joe

I'm still trying to figure out what parts are standard and what parts are master in this basket case I purchased. Since I appear to have a standard frame with a master body sitting on top I'm not sure what I am going to do.. Have a grill shell grill molding and insert I need to identify as well... Once I sort through the parts I will let you know what I'm not going to use.

Thanks

well, maybe he should do what I did, and many others in the same situation........buy fiberglass fenders and put them on and drive the car = sedan delivery ,while you continue to search for suitable repairable steel.

It does make the car driveable. As stated while he searches for steel.

now it appears that the fenders are standard series 1934 by looking at the pictures.

Now it needs to be determined whether he has a master or standard body.????????

is there an aluminum fisher body firewall tag and if so what model does the tag say it is.

After that pictures of the frame will define which it is .

fisher job # 34-551 is a 1934 Chevrolet 5 passenger coach, master series DA.

in the master series here in Canada , that was the most produced model in 1934. we produced 3360 of them.

Now you have to determine what frame you have, pictures posted will allow us to identify it.
