the oil pan I have is from a 216 will it work on my 235?

It will fit but the dipper troughs are slightly lower on a 235.This is due to the longer stroke the lower ends of the rods extend down slightly farther.You can do a search on this-it was discussed at length in a previous thread.

What are you using for a head???-(on the 235 engine)

Just had to much info in my search. Glad I asked, What A disaster that would have been to start it up with an improper aim.

Also the 235 rocker arms and push rods are different.......mailed your package today.

I think my head came with rocker arm but it's been a long time, I'll have to check the numbers to be sure. I know my push rods are from a 216 so I guess I'll be in the market for those.I'll keep an eye out for the mail lady..Thanks

Just one more question about aiming the oil pan nozzles. How do I know if I'm using enough or to little water pressure when using the target gauge?

It isn't how much the "squirt" but where.The stream should go thru the holes equally - adjust pressure so it hits the hole on all at one time.Bend a little if necessary.
