The story was in the Nov. 2007 G&D. The caption under the picture was;
Pictured above is a picture of the cover photo. The building in the background is the Milwaukee Art Mmuseum. It is a landmark on the Milwaukee lakefront. It was designed by Santiago Calatrava and completed in Oct. of 2001. The moveable steel louvers above the roof were inspitrd by the wings of a bird.They are comprised of 72 steel fins. rest on top of a glass enclosed reception hall and are raised and lowered to control both the temperature and liht. The wings extend 217 feet at its widest point and weigh 90 tons.
I will add it is at the Lake Michigan lake front and just east of downtown Miluaukee and around here is is often called the Calatrava.
