I see lots of fender welting on the market today. Is one better than others? Is one more correct than others? Who has the best? Working with my 33. Thank you, Joe

I think that most are quite similar, but if after doing the necessary research and still not decided then go with a well know vendor such as the FS or Cof's.

Not sure who has the best quality. Steele lists both 3/16th's and 1/4" bead. Is one more correct than the other, or were they used on different models? Thanks

I can't recall 1/8" being used but 3/16" is what was used from the factory. It was wrapped cord type, not some funkey moulded stuff. The 1/4" looked more like what was used between the running board and body and it was riveted in place.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm absorbing all the information. My rear fenders had a double bead with about an inch of material between the beads. I suspect I will have to make those pieces. The only other piece I had was attached to rear apron. Thank you, Joe

While on this subject, was the welting between the fender & board beaded? The guy before me used a torch to remove the fenders & boards. Thanks, Joe

On my 1934 Master there was conventional fender welt at the front fender to running board and same at the rear. From the pictures I have this would be true for 1933 and 1934 models.

Anybody seen the welting from Roy Nacewicz Enterprises in Michigan in person? I've seen only pictures but it looks spot on compared to the original. Correct grain & spun paper on the inside. Just curios. Thanks, Joe
