Happy new year form New Zealand.

Hi does anyone have any photos of the original wood grain patterns for a 34 standard Chevrolet Dash and window surrounds that they could post or email me.
Cheers Paul.

Paul... First establish if your car was USA built or a Holden/Canadian build. Dashboards were wood grained different between the two.

Those accustomed to the finest...find it in Chevrolet.

Hi all thanks for you reply. Yes we are the first to see the New Year in however for the rest of the year we follow the US of A. Thanks for the photo.
brewster my 34 is a Canadian made fisher body.
I am about to paint my dash and my dilemma is do I just paint it black or incorporate the wood grain and if then I would then like to get the panels to look as original as possible.

I know the Canadian Masters had the entire dash in wood grain but he mentioned that he had a Standard. I would doubt if that would have the entire dash in woodgrain.

I seem to recall that Dave Longmuir's '35 Standard is all wood grained... Could be a 1935 thing only for Standards though?

In checking the Canadian car ID listings in 1934 the Standard was listed as a Standard Six and an up-scale Standard Special. The more Deluxe Special available in a 2 door and Phaeton only.
In 1935 the better version is listed as a Standard 4 door Deluxe sedan only and was $25 more expensive than the regular 4 door.
There was also two Mater models in 1934. The Six and the Special.
In 1935 the Master was the Six and Deluxe. The Deluxe was available only in the trunk 2 and 4 door and R/S coupe. Same for 1936.
Speaking of David. I have not seen or heard from him in several years. Is he OK?

Wisebri, I am looking for a pic of the wood floor. That pic looks like it has the original flooring. Could you get some pics of his floor, front and back, especially the platform where the rear seat sits and send them to me? I have no floor at all and don't want to just cut plywood to fit. I am doing a restoration. Thanks. Send them to peter.venezia@gmail.com

The original dash paint can be saved by putting a coat of water base clear poly seal over it. If you do not like it water base poly seal can always be removed by scrubbing it off with a wet rag. It will also work on the steering wheel to give it that "new" look!

No, don't have a pic. You can try chevywood.com
I never spoke with this company though.
