Can anyone provide a pic of a 47 VIN? Its the plate that goes on the pass. side of the door pillar just above the lower hinge. That's where mine was located & I need to create a VIN plate as close to original as I can. There's a company that has some, but I'm not sure what they look like. The original screws are still there, they look to be 2 3/4 inches apart that hold the plate on the pillar. Any help would be really appreciated!

There is a picture of the serial number plate in the very front of the shop manual.

OK, they changed the location of the serial number in 1946 and never updated the picture in the 1942-1948 shop manual.
