Has anyone out there found a paint supplier that has code 447 Trophy Blue available? My local paint store does not have the PPG 10781 Trophy Blue available.

I'm curious if anyone out there has had success in locating this paint or have most just taken a sample and had it scanned??
No luck on the DUCO or Dupont codes either.

Thanks

Rick

Your best bet is going to be to get it scanned.

Those accustomed to the finest...find it in Chevrolet.

The '51 that came to me from my friends estate, is Trophy Blue.

Body was restored (before my ownership) in a shop in Minnesota.

Perhaps more metallic in the paint, than original, but the formula used is close.

There is a "restoration shop plaque" on the door jamb, from the restoration shop, with their I.D. number to the job. Perhaps they would have paint info, in their files ?

Sorry not to have more info.

Check with autocolorlibrary. Would be nice if you could get a pint for a sample. It was not a very metalic color.

Hi Gene,
Actually, Tower Paint does sell it in aerosol cans in lacquer, but I'm looking for gallons for my body man.
I spray painted a metal plate and will probably take it to a store to have it scanned as a last resort to get an equivalent base coat clear coat color.

Thanks anyway Bob. I suspect I'll have to take my clock delete plate in to a store to have it scanned for the light gray color as well.
