I just bought my first old car, a 52 Fleetline (actually I had a 67 Mustang in college that I butchered... I mean learned on). I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions as I start tinkering with it more. Currently I'm doing really minor jobs and driving around on weekends. The car runs well and looks nice but is far from being a show car; its really just a nice looking toy right now.

This is hardly a technical question, but I'm curious about audio systems that will fit the dash holes where the old radio used to be (there's no radio installed currently). Does anyone know where I can get a nice new stereo that will fit and look nice? FYI, its been converted to 12v.

Thanks,
michael

I contacted customautosound and it looks like they either don't have anything that will fit or they'll have to custom design something (big bucks).

If I'm able to find an original AM radio on EBay, how would I have it converted to 12v and wire it for a cd player (that I guess I'd either mount under the seat or in the trunk)?
