For sometime now I try to find photos of the 1942-48 Cabriolet interior but it seams hard to find.
I am in particularly interested to know what the seat covers look like ( deign, color, materials ) I only found online a partial picture of a reproduction seat cover:

Is this about right was the material leather??
Is there a way I can find any photos or information?
Thank you in advance

First we have to know exactly what year convertible. 1942-1948 were not all the same.

The material was genuine leather and Bedford Cord cloth.

No, the Bedford cloth was not water proof but not damaged if gotten wet. Could water stain if soaked.

Thank you Lots of interesting information cool

Johnny

Perfect convertible you have done a great job luv2
I often use your website to find details of items who are common with my 48 sedan.
Referring to the seat covers I only can see a small part of the frond seat.
Do you happen to have a photo with more details from the seats that you should like to share?
Thank you

I'll get out to my garage tomorrow afternoon and take some pictures of the Hampton Coach interior in my '48.

Dale

Your seats look extremely nice.Hampton Coatch sure delivers top quality.
If I understand the description from the Chevrolet manual the original seats were covered with real leather and only the sides and the back side of the seat cage were imitation leather. Is that so with your seats too?
Thank you for sharing.

Dale; I see your engine is not installed yet. Interior sure looks nice, which matches the outside. How old is the restoration?
I assume it is a senior car at this point.

I finished the restoration just in time for the 2011 Anniversary Meet in Flint. It's been in Preservation for a few years. We've put a little over 7,000 miles on it. Should be more, but we've missed driving on the last 2 Six Cylinder Tours with my engine issues.

Jianis -

You should give Hampton Coach/LeBaron Bonney a call and see how they're currently producing their kits. I know at the time I bought mine a few years ago you had choices of leather or vinyl for the seats.
