I am looking for a replacement for the right rear fender for a 1931 4 door Independence. I found a fender on Ebay that came off a 1931 coupe. Does anyone know if the fenders are the same for the 2 models. I am having a hard time verifying parts.

Yes they are the same. Do you have a parts book?

All 1931 passenger cars used the same front and rear fenders. If you don't have a 1929-32 Chevrolet parts book you probably need to buy one from the Filling Station. The parts book contains a ton of useful information concerning parts applications and etc.

If you don't have a parts book I would be glad to sell you my 29-32 Feb. edition at half the FS price. I think it would be fine for your car and is in excellent condition, but does not really cover my 32 very well.

Except for Canadian and Australian 1931 passenger cars.

Thanks Everyone. We do have a parts manual we found online but it did not have the fender listed on it. Does anyone have a suggestion where to find a complete one?

Did you purchase a physical manual online on just view it online? The early manuals do not have a lot of illustrations so it can be real easy to miss a listing. If you do have the physical manual post its date of print and perhaps we can determine if the fender is listed or not or other info on using it.
