Hi,

I have a 1938. The color is 224, Yorkshire Maroon. I am looking for the correct paint code. The table provided in the sales catalogue of Chevs of thre 40 says Dupo: 2426789.

At paintref it is stated the Duco color code is:246-6789 (http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorco...amp;color=All&action=Get+Paint+Codes).

Does anybody know what is correct for 224 Yorkshire Maroon for a 1938 car?

And does anybody know what would be the correct ppg-code (not sure if paintref.com shows correct) in case I want to use ppg paint?

Thanks in advance.

Did you look in the technical section of the MEMBERS area?
http://vcca.org/members

After you log in, go to this page. .

You may not be able to use this mix-info to recreate the color, but it's something that might be helpful. Ultimately you need the PPG match. Good luck with that!

oops.. just noticed that you're not a VCCA member. Then you won't be able to log in to the members area.

Dupont's mixing code for Yorkshire Maroon was
21 1/4 ounces of Dark Maroon
7 7/16 Oz of Rich Red
2 Oz of Black.

It is a very dark maroon.
