So We have been wondering if there is something to improve our drive availability in our 31 Cabriolet. What year did they start using Synchronizers in Chevrolet Transmission's? Has anyone tried replacing the internals with a more modern one (like our 37) Or has anyone been successful at putting a newer transmission in one (like a 37 car or truck Transmission) I know the Transmission that was in Dads 37 Truck that he rebuilt shifted flawlessly and the one in our all original 37 car is the same. We like driving the 31 and wouldn't mind a better transmission that we do not need to double clutch and bring the engine rpm's up while doing so. Thanks Any help or ideas will be great.
