Hi,
I am restoring my 1938 Sport Sedan.
The car was restored by previous owner 30 years ago. I wonder if then non-original headlights were installed. These headlights (on the car now) are all crome, both the headlight bucket and the headlight rim.
Looking into pictures of 1938 Chevys on the internet and also in the 1938 sales brocure, it seems to me both the headlight bucket and the headlight rim shall be painted in the very same color as the body of the car. Is this a correct conclusion?
I do not know where this all-crome headlights are coming from!
I know e.g. Chevs of the 40s are selling headlight rims, and they are crome. I assume it would be most correct also then to paint those in the very same color as the car.
