hello all!,

I was trying to replace the socket and wire set for the parking lights of my car, removed the socket from the parking light all-right, but I cant seem to get the wire out of this little 1 1/2" long box near the wiring harness. pulled on both ends and nothing doing. I cant get a thin screwdriver in there to release the terminal. Should I use a little strip of thin gauge steel or what? Or is there a simple way of removing this wire? Thanks again for the help!

If you are talking about the unit that the bulb sets in, there is a small fiber plate with contact points on the face and wires to the rear. The fiber plate should float up and down with ease as there is a small spring in there that maintains the pressure for contact. If it does no float then it is probably just stuck there from build up of dirt etc., try a little wd 40 and let is soak then try and move it up and down, the fiber plate should just push out the bulb end of the unit.
