Another yellow 51 comes out of the woodwork! In Sioux Falls South Dakota this time. There are 3 nearly identical 51’s currently on E-Bay.
See them here;http://www.ebay.com/sch/Cars-Trucks-/6001/i.html?_from=R40&_sac=1&_nkw=1951+chevrolet+convertible&_vxp=mtr

The one in Sioux Falls,I think it’s the best of the three. Has a full pressure 235 but still has the powerglide. It look mostly correct. Wheels need pin striping, steering wheel is cracked, hood ornament is a 54, engine painted wrong color.
The seller is a Chevy dealer and has a lot of classics for sale, here’s the website: http://www.frankmanmotors.com/Inven...&SortBy=1&MaxMileage=Any+Mileage

The one in Texas is a close second, but it still has the babbitt beater 235, PG and a few other issues. It's been for sale since May and asking $40,000. It can't seem to get a bid out of the low 20's

The one in Oregon is also a powerglide with a 1958 engine. Original wheels and hubcaps are long gone. It's also priced at $40,000 and was bid to $35,000 in September.

What ate the odds...rare car and three to pick from.

Hood ornament on that car is correct for '51...

Those accustomed to the finest...find it in Chevrolet.

Brewster, Thanks for the correction. Do you see anything else wrong?
