I was thinking about purchasing a correct "smokerkit" that is in the 1931 accessory guide just cuz it looks cool and is correct year. I got to thinking and a question popped in my head - can the cigar lighter on a 6 volt car power a USB charger (for like my mp3 player)?

Quick answer is NO. The car is 6-volt and your toy is 12-volt.

Most cell phones, gps, iPods only need 5 volts so give it a try.

Thanks. I think I will after I order the kit. Hopefully it is also in working order.
