Lately when I try to start the engine it barely turns over, however sometimes it will start right up. I have a battery tender on it all the time.
Any ideas on what the problem could be? Battery? starter?

First thing is cables. Are they clean? Are they large enough? Next I would have the starter checked. Could be drawing to many amps.

 Be certain battery cables are a HEAVY GAUGE, such as 1/0, not the auto parts 12 volt variety.
