Starting my 1950 235 is getting harder. When I hit the start button it is very slow to respond..takes a long time between sparks. Could the starter be the problem? I keep the battery on a battery minder but perhaps the minder is not functioning correctly?

Thanks

Assuming you still have the 6 volt system, and all is in order, including the setting on your timing, look at the battery cables. A 1/0 cable is a good choice.
