I need to replace the bulbs in my 1931 Coach, but I cannot figure out how to get to the bulbs. I know that things get tough over the years to get apart - but I did not want to force something that is NOT supposed to move. So I only want to move what is supposed to be moving but not sure what that is supposed to be. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Are you talking about the headlight bulbs?

With a small screwdriver, loosen the screw that is at the bottom of the headlight trim ring. This will allow the ring to expand and then you can remove the ring and glass lens together. That will give you access to the bulbs. Push and twist.

No - sorry about that. I mentioned the Park lamps in the title of my post, but I failed to mention that in the text when I just said bulbs. Talking about the park lamps. Up near the windscreen. The small white ones that illuminate with the first click of the light switch. With the second click of the switch, they extinguish as the headlamps illuminate.

Windscreen? Oh, you mean the windshield. Anyway, the two lights, one on each side of the cowl, are called "cowl lights". There is a screw in the back center of the cowl light body. Remove the screw and the rim with the glass lens will come of so that you can access the light bulb.

Windscreen (British) - Windshield (American). LOL.

I thought for sure that they were called "Park Lamps" in the owners manual. Anyway, I appreciate the info. I will go out and try it right now.

Thanks! thanku

Since there are two types of parking lights used, the parking lights that are in the headlights are called parking lights. The parking lights that are mounted on the cowl are cowl lights. By differentiating between the two, it helps to avoid confusion.
