I recently bought a 31 coach and it only has a fuel bowl on the stovebolt. I was wondering if it is SUPPOSED to have a filter in there, or did they not use a filter on it? I saw a pic of a sediment bowl online and it caused me to wonder if it was origonally equipped and someone forgot to install a new one or what.

Thanks for any help.

Nope. There was no filter. However, there WAS a copper wire-mesh screen at the top of the glass bowl. This was a round shape with fit tightly in the top of the housing.

Thanks. I did see the part you are describing on The Filling Station catalog, but when I took the bowl off I could not see upwards into the top housing (didn't have a mirror handy right away), so it was just a quick dump to get rid of so much sediment, but I was wondering.

.....now if I can just figure out what is leaking on it... the gaskit, the bead nut on the line, the pump, etc....

Thanks so much.

I added in a paper filter on mine, as a few others have done as well for added security and that warm fuzzy filling:

I also added a paper filter when I had problems with some white fluffy stuff in the settling bowl. Now have nearly 2000 miles on the '31 since last September. Runs great! Thanks Ralph McEowen!!

Also, I believe that TFS now sells these too.
