We have a restored 1/2 ton Panel truck that has recently been completed. Complete new wood and 235 engine. What suggestions does anyone have about selling this truck (illness in family)? ePay has great exposure but high commissions, any other ideas? Thanks for any help. (located SF Bay area).

If you want to reach the most amount of possible buyers then ebay is the answer. Roughly about 10% fee on selling price. It may be a sliding fee based on price not sure.

If you put it into an auction then its 10% sellers fee and then another 10% buyers fee to anybody wanting it. You also have a fee to run it thru the auction. You could go to HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS, old autos, auto trader, kijiji, and whatever else is out there. Or park it in front of your home with a for sale sign on it when your home and put away when your not.

You can figure out a price and post what you want for it in the VCCA CHAT for sale section. Be prepared with 20 pictures you can email to anybody who is interested.

If you list it at a reasonable price you most likely will sell it to somebody looking for a good panel truck. Overprice it and you will become married to it.

Thanks Mike. Hate to sell the truck I worked two years on but life took a sharp turn.

hopefully you will find a buyer right away at a decent & fair price.

wanting to sell and having to sell is not a good option.
