I need help in how to remove the gas tank out of my 49 wagon. It is between the spare tire and the differential. Do I have to remove the differential to get it out...I hope not. Help!!!

First try disconnecting the shocks-This may allow the diff. to drop down a little farther. If this dosen't work disconnecting the rear springs at the shackles allowing to drop diff. even farther will be necessary.

Thank you for the info. I really appreciated. I'm going back under the car and give it another try.
