I am looking for a replacement rumble seat for my 1930 Chevy Sport Coupe. Does anyone knows where I can locate one or have a reproduction made? Will a rumble seat from another year or model fit the 1930?

Welcome to Chevy Chatter. Glad to have you with us! Where in Oregon are you located? I also have a 1930 Sport Coupe and I am in Oregon as well. As Joe mentioned, there is a company that makes seat springs. Are you only missing the rumble seat cushions or do you need other parts for the rumble seat also?

We are in The Dalles Oregon. The seat springs were rusted through but the other parts were functional. I was hoping to locate a manufacturer or seat springs as a anniversary gift for my husband. That is the reason this post may be in the wrong section.

I contacted Snyders and they need a seat to make the replica. We don't have the seat springs. Does anyone have some that they could trace around or take the measurements to help with a pattern? Thanks.

I bought from Snyder's but I got lucky that a fellow VCCA member let me send his as samples. Do you know any of the sizes? I have a couple of unknown rumble seat springs here....Joe

If 31 and 30 are the same, I will be happy to draw, photo, measure or whatever if it will help. Mine are not in the car at the moment so it would be no problem.

Life got in the way of my quest to find the seat portion of our 1930 Chevy Sport Coupe rumble seat. I contacted Snyders, and Car Line in Texas to no avail. Snyders did say they could work from a full size pattern that would give the corner radius. The back to the rumble seat is in good condition. The seat is nonexistent. We have only the back. We welcome any help. Thanks.

Just a suggestion. I have a 1930 Sports Roadster. When I got it it had a home made rumble seat ( like you the back was ok). The car needed re trimming, so I asked the trimmer to make me a seat. He made it from good quality upholstery foam rubber and then trimmed it. I know the purists will hate the idea, but I doubt if anyone is going to use it, and it looks perfect and is comfortable too.
