Greetings all, I am used to putting straight-90W GL-4 in my mid-60s Muncie 4-speeds but don't know much about the late-30s cars. Do the transmissions and rear ends on the 39-era cars work best with GL-4 as do the later ones, or do they like the GL-5 better? This is for one of our local VCCA region members' cars. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have used GL 4 in my 1939 and 1934 for over 40 years with no problems.
