Hi, I'm trying to correctly identify a bellhousing and could use some help from someone that might have a parts book. I believe it's a 46' half ton truck. The GM number is 838673.
Thanks,
Russ

Per my parts book from 1929-1953, I don't find your number of 838673 listed for the bell housing (Housing, clutch and flywheel) in the above mentioned years. Will let some of the experts here chime in.
Jim.

Wasn't in my '29-'48 either.

The casting number is not always the same as the part number. I checked the part number in older books (they didn't have casting numbers) and all part numbers and found nothing.

Maybe this helps....it has the clutch and brake pedals that mount to it. However it appears to have an adjustable two piece clutch fork ball that mounts from the rear. Others I've seen only have a one piece ball that mount from inside the bell.
