I need help identifying a pair of horns. The stamped numbers are 681 & 682. They are shell type with the half sphere covers and look very 50ish. They are not marked 12v so I assume they are 6v. Not sure they are even for Chevrolet, could be Buick or Pontiac!?

Can they be repaired if they won't work? Who provides this service?

Thanks in advance!

Mike :)

I find no record of the number in my Chev. books. My Pontiac and Olds books are downstairs and I can do steps so can't get at them right now.To repair the horns or least test them remove the cover. You will find a set of contact points in there-see if they are OK.Try turning the center adjusting ***** (can change tone) and hook up to battery and see what happens.I use a 12 v battery as it will give it a good jolt.Check for rust inside-have seen some with the innards turned to rust.
