I have a Trico sidemount mirror that is missing the strap and the inside parts that tighten the strap. Can anyone send me pictures of the inside parts so I can see if it's something that I can make?

Sure can! What is your email address? The gear will be the hard part and also the latch. I was going to have a friend look at making parts for me also.
The strap I would think is 301 1/4 hard.

I would not waste much time or money on sidemount mirrors. They are useless except for decoration.

Hey, wait a minute! I drive my 32 cabriolet not because its fast, fuel efficient, or it attacks old ladies; I drive it because it looks great, i.e. for "decorative purposes"!

I mounted some on my '31 and cut a hard rubber pad that I mounted on the bottom that sits on the tire and that stabilized the vibration and they work just fine and look great, nice and steady. And when backing up are very helpful.
