A fellow VCCA member here in Ohio is in the process of stripping apart a 1966 Caprice 4 door sedan. The car originally was from Texas and the frame is very solid and respectable. He wants to know what this frame fits, so that when he can list and sell is correctly. I would guess that it fits all 1966 Impalas, Caprice, Bel-Air 2 and 4 door vehicles. It probably does not fit station wagons and convertibles. Correct? Does it also fit any 1965 models?

He needs to find someone with a Mitchell's manual. They list collision repair parts including frame interchange.

The 1965 and 1966 Caprice used a stronger frame than the lesser models. This was to eleminate the rubbery ride the standard frame privided. It may have been the same frame used for a taxi option. I am almost positive the frame could be used for all passenger car applications (except convertible).
