Hello everyone, nearly ready to start on the bodywork of my 31,wood frame is rotten so the doors drop,do you know of any ideas I'm thinking of copying the old wood parts,I know you can buy full wood kits but the price is a little high and of course the duty we have to pay on top of that.so is there any blue print plans you can buy or anything like that.see you later.

Nope... No blueprints have EVER been offered for sale. I think all of the current woodmakers developed their own patterns after copying multiple examples of original wood pieces.

There's a reason whey they cost so much. Many of them have multiple and tricky cuts. I was amazed when I received my pieces a few years ago. I never could have made some of them. I can run a table saw, skill saw, and a see-saw, but not well enough to make 3 oand 4 plane cuts.

Good luck.

This is one of the best lines I've read all year. Thank you.

Most of the folks I know that have tried to copy the wood run out of steam and the resto project sits. It may be worth spending the $ for the kits.

No, I don't even have a shed. Just a basement full of rusty sheet metal. If you need advice, there is a gentleman on the HAMB forums named "Woodlouse" from London who is into Model A's and vintage GM cars. He's shared some of his work with wood bucks and early sheet metal. He may be a good resource for either fabricating wood parts for you or may be able to steer you in the right direction of where to go. There may even be a resource there in the UK that could help.

His contact info is here.

Hope this helps.
