Hello friends,
A pal of mine, living in Austria and owning a 1931 chevy did ask me a very special question.
As I understood he wants to put a 1932 synchromesh transmission in his 1931 chevy.
Because I dont know it I ask for help here. Does a 1932 tranny fit into a 1931 car?
I dont know why he wants to change the tranny, but maybe his wife wants to drive the car and is unable to shift the original 1931 tranny.
Who knows...

It is necessary to change the length of the torque tube and propeller shaft for a '32 transmission to be installed in a 1931. Or a '32 rear end also installed.

A 1932 clutch bell housing is also needed as 1931 and 1932 bell housings have different size main transmission holes. the 32 being larger than the 31.

Good point Jack. Forgot that one even though I found that out many years ago that the clutch housing needed to match the transmission.
