Hi all:
I'm looking for a 34 truck grill center strip that goes down the center of the grill and around the crank hole. Does anyone know how I can find one or have one fabricated?
Thanks

Hi Lucky,

Some trucks of that era share parts with cars. For example my '36 PU uses a '34 car bumper. If that part you're seeking had other applications it may allow you to widen your search.

I see grilles for your truck on ebay but they are mighty expensive.

What part of Wyoming are you in? My wife and I backpack and fish in the Wind River Mountains near Lander and in the Beartooth Mountains near Cody.

there was a guy in Houston texas who was reproducing the 33--36 car and truck grill insert/meshes. He also reproduced the center trim.

I tried to contact him a couple of months ago and phone was not in service nor was his email working.

Probably best to contact JIM CARTER TRUCK PARTS or THE FILLING STATION.
Just keep checking ebay USA newest listings daily to see if one turns up or purchase a complete unit just to get the part you need.?????

I have the center grille strip you need. It might need a little work but if you plan to paint it black, as original, your body work will be hidden.
As for your wheel, the 17" wire wheel from a '34, '35, or '36 Master Series car (6 bolt) should be the same as your truck. If you bought a 17" 5 bolt Chevy wheel, it is from a '34 or '35 Standard series car. I might have a decent wheel also.
Jim Carter now has new reproduction Stainless grilles for the '34-'35 truck. It might come with the center moulding or he might offer it as a separate item.
Only trucks with the deluxe package (in '35-'35) had chrome grilles and center mouldings.
