I am thinking of attending the Pate meet next year and travelling from New Zealand I would like some advice whether it is a good meet to attend. I am Looking for 1916 490 and 32 coupe parts. Or is there a better meet somewhere in the States at this time of year?

The Pate Meet is a Great Meet. We went this year. Very few Early Chevy Parts. Chickasha in March would probably be a better Meet.

The Pate Swap Meet is a huge Swap Meet, they had 3,000 spaces this past year. It takes 2 to 3 days to cover the meet and it is easy to miss parts you are looking for.
The Pre War Swap Meet in Chickasha is a lot smaller and can be covered in one day. Thursday is the best day to go, because several vendors will be leaving on Friday evening. There are a lot of Brass and Ford Parts there, not as many Chevy parts.

I have been a vendor at Pate Swap Meet fo 40 years.

I agree with jonjet. Pate doesn't have much early stuff like Chickasaw does, but any old-car swap meet is great to attend. I have been to about all of the major events: Hershey, Carlisle, Pate (old and new), Portland, Arlington, Chickasaw, Pomona, League City, Moultrie, Iola, and many others (Have Truck, Will Travel). They are all great. You meet the nicest people, and if you don't find the parts you are looking for, you may be able to acquire leads to the parts you are looking for.
