I was wondering if removing the dash in my 39 chevy is pretty basic,or is there a problem waiting me. A real expert friend will be doing a complete wiring job and wants me to remove the dash.

Wow! thank you, well,I guess that lets me out of some work,He didn't want to be in awkward positions. He just did a super good job of wiring on my 33 Studebaker the dash has two exposed chrome screws on each side and the dash is out except for un hooking everything. Thank you.

The instrument cluster itself can be removed if you need to take it out. It has a stud welded to the dash , and nuts to secure the panel to the dash.

So that more fellows with an interest in 1939 Chevrolets can view your posts you might want to post your questions in the 1937-42 forum that is further down on the forum list page.
